Workshop in Tirana –May 2025

From May 21st to 25th, 2025, Tirana lit up with the energy of youth, creativity, and collective purpose! In the heart of Albania’s capital, 24 passionate youth workers from Italy, Greece, Spain, Jordan, Turkey, Malta, and Albania gathered for an unforgettable international workshop hosted by OMSA Albania

The Workshop

This wasn’t your average training. With a focus on participatory design—a powerful approach that empowers young people to co-create the decisions that shape their lives—participants dove into hands-on sessions led by a dynamic facilitator from OMSA.

The two-day workshop kicked off with interactive ice-breakers and a compelling project presentation, setting the stage for real collaboration. Youth workers shared insights from their own research and worked together to develop meaningful survey indicators and structure the questionnaire that will soon be launched. The goal? To collect real voices, real data, and make real change.

The second day pivoted to impact and outreach. Teams created social media content and digital strategies to spread the upcoming survey across platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, and email—making sure young voices are not just heard, but amplified.

To round out the training, participants tested their knowledge and reflected through a self-assessment, ensuring they walked away with both inspiration and new skills in their toolkit.

Pride, Participation, and Powerful Moments

Thanks to the incredible coordination of OMSA Albania, who also led the organization of Tirana Pride, participants had a unique opportunity to join the city’s vibrant Pride Week. From community events to the empowering Pride Parade on May 25th, the week concluded with a colorful celebration of identity, rights, and inclusion.

This wasn’t just a workshop—it was a movement. A blend of learning, activism, and cross-border solidarity that left a lasting mark on everyone involved.

Together, we designed more than a survey—we sparked a vision for a more inclusive, youth-driven future.
